How Long Does It Take to Replace a Flat Roof or a Pitched Roof in Chicago?

Another major factor is how “cut up” the roof is. In roofing terms, a simple open roof with very few penetrations moves much faster than a roof packed with HVAC units, skylights, doghouses, vent pipes, and other rooftop obstacles. The more details a roof has, the more time it takes to properly flash and waterproof everything.
